Toolmakers for transformation,
unite!
“The highest measure of democracy is neither the ‘extent of freedom’ nor the ‘extent of equality’,
but rather the highest measure of participation.”
Alain de Benoist
buzzing with excitement?
We certainly are! But then, we’re building tools for a better future—a decentralized, open-source world where collaboration creates real change. Our goal it to cut through the noise, connect resources to needs, and help communities thrive.
Trying to change the world on your own is a fool’s game though, it’s all about doing things together. It is about the power of open source and the power of community mixed into one, where the common goal takes precedence over private profit. Many hands make light work, many minds build better products.
To us, it’s more than just a mission; it’s a movement. We’re laying the foundation for a more equitable world, with contributors from all corners of it.
We’re Not Hiring…
…but We are looking
Some day we will be hiring but for now we rely heavily on volunteers. If that doesn’t scare you off and you share our values we could really use your help.
The more help we get, the sooner we’ll have the funds we need to both remunerate contributors and fund community projects across this beautiful planet. Also, the more we are contributing, the sooner we can make use of the tools we are creating together.
There is pure unadulterated joy in building something meaningful and being part of the coolest design swarm out there doesn’t hurt either. A swarm drawn together by a strong purpose and a shared vision.
If this sounds like your kind of swarm, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Specifically, we’re looking for people who can jump in and contribute to:
Coding & development
Whether you are junior or senior, front or backend, a builder or a tester there is a long list of things to be undertaken. At the moment, our focus is on getting Circles ready to ship, but next in line is the Altruistic Wallet with all its unique challenges. Perhaps you are working on your own project and would like to connect it to the ecosystem? Whatever the case, let us know and we’ll take it from there!

marketing
Sales baby! That’s what it is about. Well, sort of.
If we want to have an impact we need people to come together and do what they want to be doing. But if they are going to find each other, they are going to need something designed for that purpose. Something like what we are building.
So, basically we want them to know what we are up to and how they can use the tools the lab is designing and prototyping and deploying. But you get the idea. If you are as excited as we are and want to spread the word, reach out and we’ll take it from there!
Community outreach
Community! That’s what it’s really all about. Not even sort of. We are looking for more communities to work with. Communities that know a lot more about what they need than a speculative session of post-its and pains and gains and all that other workshop stuff we’ve gone over backwards.
What do you want? What do you need? What would make the greatest difference and offer the most value to your community? Talk to us! Who knows what we might accomplish together?
test piloting
It’s a dirty job but somebody has to… Um, no. Let’s try again. It’s a dangerous job… Nope. That’s not it either. Actually, it’s not very glamorous, but it is necessary. Crucial to be honest. And it can be quite fun.
So, yeah, if you think you have what it takes to become a Test Pilot, help us find the bugs, iron put the kinks, perhaps come up with a few creative suggestions, well, say no more! For this prestigious position, please apply here. Bragging rights of the trailblazer at no extra cost!
Fundraising
Last but not least. Absolutely not least. In fact, probably what we need most. But anyway. You know how it is. Try getting cash out of a venture capitalist with the pitch “Your return on investment will be more vibrant communities, less environmental degradation, deeper connection and a society fit for posterity” and listen to the pin drop in awkwardly embarrassed silence.
The truth is open-source projects are perpetually underfunded. Obviously, we aim to change all that, and we will, but that change would happen a whole lot sooner with a bit more cash. So, if you happen to have more cash than is seemly and you’d like to fund something meaningful, or fraternise in such circles, pretty please, hook us up. Or if you are just really good at writing proposals, that is cool too.
None of the above?
Does none of the above tickles your fancy but you are still keen to join? Then there is most likely a reason for it. Drop us a line and tell us about yourself. We’ll set up a chat to figure out together what your unique gift to contribute might be!
